The book of the city of Shoreline, Washington highlights Native land stewardship, early logging, and development driven by roads, rail, and the interurban transportation system. Post-WWII growth spurred suburban expansion, giving rise to 14 recognized neighborhoods each with several pages and historic photographs. The city incorporated in 1995, establishing local governance, parks, and community institutions, preserving its heritage amid ongoing development.
